In Heathrow waiting for a connection to Cork. A super size duvet of charcoal grey cloud blankets the airport. The temps are eight degrees according to the pilot.
Everyone is speaking in muted voices, strangers do not greet each other, the internet is fast, the lights work. No vivid colours, vibrant energy or glorious sunshine. Such contrasts and extremes between countries.
Lungi airport is much changed very efficient and friendly. The flight arrived from Monrovia in time and thus we landed at Heathrow on time.
Time to start saving up for the next trip.
Was unable to bring back any Star beer. This photo is a poor substitute but is an interesting example of upcycling- as a stand for a mosquito coil.
